- Watts Gallery at Compton - see the works of "England’s Michaelangelo" approximately two miles (3 km) east along the North Downs Way. Excellent walk or cycle ride, mostly car-free.
- Watts chapel in Compton - a glorious art nouveau memorial; approximately two miles (3 km) east along the North Downs Way.
- Norman churches (in Compton, Seale, Puttenham and Peper Harow).
- Waverley Abbey - romantic ruins by the River Wey.
- Manor Farm Craft Centre in Seale, with cafe.
- Hogs Back Brewery at Tongham.
- The Great Barn at Wanborough.
- The Good Intent is a great pub close by.
- Rural Life Centre, near Tilford, about 8 miles (13 km) south west of Puttenham.
- Horse drawn narrowboat on the River Wey. This is no longer operating, but their website has relevant links.
- Farncombe Boat House hires out rowing boats and narrow boats, and arranges skippered cruises. Update 31 August 2022: Rowing boat hire is temporarily suspended - please check the website.
- Godalming Leisure Centre, Summers Road, on the edge of Broadwater Park, Farncombe. Swimming, café, tennis courts, undercover cycle parking.
- Godalming Museum, High Street, Godalming (5 miles, 8 km south-east of Puttenham). Teas and coffees served in an area where you can eat your own sandwiches - either indoors, or outdoors in their delightful Jekyll and Lutyens style courtyard garden. There is free admission and cycle racks are nearby.
- Greyfriars Vineyard offer interesting and tasty tours where you can sample their award-winning sparkling wines.

Do you have special dietary requirements or are vegetarian/vegan?
We can recommend the Manor Farm Tearoom which caters to a variety of dietary needs, with many ingredients locally sourced. It is 2.5 miles (4 km) along the road from Puttenham towards Seale, approximately a 45 minute walk.
Slightly closer to Puttenham Barn you will find the Watts Gallery Tea Room (1.7 miles, 2.7 km away) or the Puttenham Golf Clubhouse (0.3 miles, 0.5 km away), all of which have some dishes that are vegetarian or vegan.
Alternatively, if you are venturing into Godalming, Roost provide splendid options that are gluten-free, dairy-free and created using unprocessed ingredients. They can be found on Wharf Street in Godalming (4.4 miles, 7 km away).

Do you love trying local food and supporting local producers?
Whilst in Godalming, stop by the Godalming Food Company deli near the Pepperpot on the High Street and you can purchase local produce there 7 days a week. On a Friday evening you can even sample the local food from a tapas menu.
If you time your stay right, you might be able to attend Loseley Park's monthly 'Farmm' produce sale held in their tithe barn, with all products made and fresh produce grown on the estate. Only 2.9 miles, 4.6 km away. Check the next sale date on the website and book your visit.
